It is a non-surgical treatment for cellulite and localized fat reduction. It employs microinjections of very small doses of mesotherapy medications that have high anti-cellulite and fat burning qualities. By delivering these medications into the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin) mesotherapy treatment stimulates skin repair, melts fat cells and destroys connective tissue bands responsible for the appearance of the cellulite. Treatment can be done once a week.

Mesotherapy is the practice of injecting small amounts of medication and/or vitamins into the mesoderm or middle layer of skin. Mesotherapy was given formal recognition by the French Academy of Medicine in 1987 and was pioneered by Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952. Presently, over 15,000 medical practitioners provide Mesotherapy throughout Europe, Great Britain, and South America. Mesotherapy has been used in the treatment of acne, arthritis, and joint problems. While each Mesotherapy treatment may involve hundreds of small injections, the treatment sessions typically take only minutes to complete. Mesotherapy over the course of approximately 10 sessions blocks our ability to store fat and it stimulates our ability to burn it up.
Mesotherapy is performed to actually melt away unwanted localized deposits of fat from your body. During the procedure, your doctor uses very tiny needles (about half an inch) to painlessly make multiple injections of the medications into the targeted area. For overall weight loss, your doctor might inject larger areas to cause a general dissolution of the fat over your body. When treating cellulite, one formulation of medications may be used to dissolve the fat and another to destroy the fibrous bands that bind the skin. In some cases, a special injection device may be used to deliver the injections.
Treatments average 10 sessions, spaced 1-2 weeks apart. Patients say the treatment feels like a small pinch. Some patients prefer to use local anesthetic cream applied thirty minutes prior to their treatment.

Side effects are limited because Mesotherapy is delivered directly to the targeted area. This reduces the possibility of drug interaction, and reduces the amount of medications required for each procedure. Since localized bruising is common, we suggest you discontinue blood thinners before your treatment.
