Women with large breasts may have some problems due to excess weight such as back and neck pain, which requires the adoption of vicious positions, altering the axis, the dorsal, and cervical spine causing skin irritations and even inframammary respiratory problems.
The purpose of breast reduction is to provide proportion to the woman’s small breasts and more proportion to the rest of the body shape.

After the surgery, you will be closely monitored and cared for. You will be dressed in a surgical or approved sports bra.

The discomfort is controlled with medication, the bandages are removed in 72 hours and the sutures between 7 to 10 days approximately. Complete recovery takes two to three weeks. It is possible to return to sexual activities within two weeks, but this also can vary depending on the person.
To monitor your progress and to ensure you are taking care of yourself, you will return to the surgeon’s office for a postoperative follow-up visit immediately and then periodically. Your surgeon will instruct you on proper showering methods and sleeping positions, as well as specific care for the skin and incision areas. The postoperative time is critical for the long-term effectiveness of your procedure.
